Redress Scotland’s Response:

1. The staffing structure within Redress Scotland, including job titles and corresponding pay grades. We have 29 employees at present within Redress Scotland, however we are currently recruiting for positions and this will take us to 33 employees.

Redress Scotland’s Corporate Body includes 1 Chair, 1 Deputy Chair and 4 Non-Executive Members.

9. The total costs of specific role/project broken down month on month from inception of Redress Scotland to today’s date. We consider that because the monthly costs for each role relate to the sums paid to an individual, this information is third party personal data. While you may have an interest in obtaining this information, this must be balanced against the rights of the individuals concerned. In this case, we consider that the rights of the individuals outweigh your interests and believe that releasing this information would not be a lawful use of the data. In terms of section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, information is exempt from disclosure if disclosure would contravene any of the data protection principles. The requested information is therefore withheld in terms of section 38(1)(b). This is an absolute exemption which is not subject to the public interest test.
